Man. We went from strugglin' to get out of week 3, to playing week 9 games in a matter of 48 hours. I think we played nearly 15 games this weekend, most of them on Sunday.

As most of you know by now, the whole "in order" thing is out the window for the remainder of this season. Just get your games done. This will not be the case next season. You won't be able to move onto the next week until you get this newsletter saying the previous week is complete. At this rate I believe the playoffs for Season 1 will be next weekend! That's just way too fast. It's fine now, just don't get used to it.

The sign-up for Season 2 is going quite well. Please try to get your money in as soon as possible and also, try to spread the word a bit. I'm shooting for 16 next season. The weekend of the 21st will most likely be the kick-off, and again, expect a much slower regular season.

As far as the league is going, wow - there's quite a jam of teams with 2 losses. I believe there's 4 right now that are all clamoring for that 1st round playoff bye with the #2 seed. And of course Team Rating is ever so crucial once again. For me in particular, because of some close wins - I only have a 137.5 rating whereas all the other 2 loss teams have well over 200. That's gonna bite me in the ass if they don't lose the rest of the way. As well, the last week has some HUGE match-ups.

So anyway - let's try to get the regular season wrapped up this week and get the playoffs goin' this weekend. Feel free to go out of order if you can't seem to get ahold of your opponent. Makes no difference at this point.

And finally, we've been getting quite a few complaints about Miami's constant trash-talking and style of play. This is quite a grey area, but one with an easy solution...for now. He won't be able to take part in Season 2 as he doesn't have his own Xbox Live Account, Xbox, or even computer. So by default the situation is easily dealt with.

The problem of course is this may come up again, and I can't really put a rule in this league stating: "You're not allowed to go for it on every 4th down" or "2 point conversions only when necessary" or "Don't talk shit when you're winning". Believe me, I've played the dude - and even though I had a shot at the end, the entire game sucked. He plays like it's NFL Blitz, and unless you have the exact type of offense to counteract it - it's gonna be a long day. Luckily I have the game taped and am working on plays that will exploit his aggressive 9 men on the line type of play, but with Jim Miller at QB, not a whole lot I can do (though I did just throw for a league record 625 yards in one game). Obviously New York and Oakland exploited this inane type of play by beating him by a combined 96-31, but they also have the guns to do this. The trash talking however is just the problem we run into with immature people. Anyone who has played me knows that I talk a lot - but in such a joking manner I'm just trying to make you laugh. I treat all of you as friends because well, you are. This is a "friendly" type of a league and it is unfortunate that one guy is pissin' everyone off so much.

Although I can't make specific rules about how to call plays, I will add an addendum to the rules section about being a jerk. Because the bottom line is: t's my league and I'll simply not invite you back. I don't need to give you an explanation, I'll simply refuse your money for the next season.

The funny thing is, dude doesn't even have a computer - so the one guy who should read this can't. LOL, but no worry - it's his first and last season.
