THE BEST ONLINE LEAGUE NEWSLETTER 1.03

FINALLY. I say finally, like we've been trying for a week. We're actually right on schedule. Unfortunately, I personally babysat every match. Even calling people and making them tell me their stats long distance (one guy didn't even know you were supposed to take stats - GOOD LORD PEOPLE). But Week 1 is complete.

Go nuts. Check out every page. There's so much info up right now it's insane. 3 videos, full leaderboard, full game stats on the Week 1 page, detailed team stats on team page. Even more incredible is the Game by Game analysis from Victor. Dude is already 5-1. The Texans upset of Tampa Bay really caught him off-guard. Amazing. His picks for week 2 should be up very soon.

In the coming weeks, you'll find the team pages to be of huge assistance to you. You'll be able to see how many rushing/passing yards they average per game - everything. You'll be able to build your gameplan around the stats. Everyone thinks I'm crazy for making stats such a big part of this league, but you'll soon see why. Homework will pay off. The winners in this league will have to know their opponents, just like it is in the NFL. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the first update.

Now, I already have one major change to announce for Season 2:

Every single team must have his own email address and AIM name. Period. You can get an AIM name for FREE on aol.com. Do it now. There will be a list of everyone's AIM and email on their team stat page by tomorrow. If you don't have that, you cannot be in this league past this season. I feel bad, because my absolute best friend, and the reason I started this league, doesn't have a computer. But he also has 2 other friends in the league sharing his xbox, again - with no computers between them. That means I get to schedule all 3 of their matches, my matches, and the one dude sharing my Xbox for a total of 5 teams every week. Those emails that end with @4tvs.com? Yup - that's me. LOL. So then I CALL long distance and set it up. On top of all that, I get to babysit the Packers every week 'cause Billy is busy as hell. This will burn my ass out REALLY quick.

Another change will actually go into effect NOW: winner takes all stats period. It just makes sense. No one will be more responsible about getting them done, and done correctly then the person who's getting the "W". Again, both people should still do them, but it's the winner's responsibility if they want the game to count. And that means getting the personal records (if there are any) for both teams. It's just insult to injury to make the loser fill it all out. "Ok, you got beat 31-0, now tell me in detail why that happened." Heh.

For the most part, although I'm tired as hell, the league has the potential to be huge. No one is doing this. No one. This is special. Here's to Week 2...
