And today...it begins.

Or so I intended. It's been a crazy week. Two members have already quit, quickly to be replaced by the alternates. One of the members was busy this weekend, and wanted to get his game in early and that was fine...but then he quit. Heh. I had already told the rest of the league to pretty much play when you can as the rules were set in stone...

Then during the very first game: Tampa Bay @ Houston, we realize that dome teams CAN'T have rain. I was sure this was not the case, but alas I was wrong. So the rule was changed that you can move to a neutral stadium for weather conditions. As well, one of the new members has a pretty shaky connection. Jets @ Buffalo tried to play twice, with the connection breaking within the first half. I spoke with The Jets through Xbox Live, and the connection even broke while I was speaking to him. They're trying again tonight, let's hope it gets better.

The first 4 games have gone off very well. You'll be able to see all the videos, stats, and updated leader boards when Week 1 is officially complete. I can't half update - I have to do it week by week.

The rules are now official, please reread them even if you've read them a hundred times. There's a new stat form thanks to Derek Deffenbaugh of the Buffalo Bills. Thanks to you, and good luck trying to replay your game tonight.

More than anything I'm writing to tell you:

SCHEDULE YOUR MATCHES NOW.

Look at your schedule, email your next 2-3 opponents - and get a feeling as to when they can play. Make a game plan for how and when you'll get games in. So far I've been the middle man in every damn game. Guess what I can't do 72 times this regular season? I realize at the beginning I will have to help more, but eventually - all I want is 2 emails per game with stats. In fact if that can't happen, "The Best Online League" will need to hire a new commissioner - because the time requirement so far has been INSANE.

Anyway, assuming all goes well tonight - the week one update will be up late this evening. Three videos, a shitload of stats - and the mysterious leaderboard will all come to life. Be sure to check out the site.
