Meeting #17. Whew, this took forever. First of all Bill was in a meeting with the GM until about 2:45. Went in and talked to John and Jane..and their producer Ethan. Ethan was goin' nuts on this school thing (me quiting). It was crazy. I couldn't believe how animated he was about me staying in. Oh well, it's final. John heard me talkin' about my CD to Ethan and said he wants to have me on their show! Yes, so Monday at 4:20 PM, I will have my own 10 minute segment to plug away. I'm so excited. Finally I get to talk to Bill, and I swear to god there were probably 5 interruptions. Everything was nuts. Told him how Cannon lied, and he went into the "This is Canon's last gig, he is old and tired and no longer in any position of power, he feels threatened." speech. Blah blah. Don't buy it really, how can you be this insecure in this field? If he's that scared...DO BETTER. Maybe he can't...who knows. Anyway, then talked about college, and he gave me his full support which was nice. He said my reasons make sense. Even had the GM, Perry Frye ask me about it. He really likes me. So they're concerned but they understand. This was a good meeting. Once again I think I looked good. And wow...glad he was late so I could talk to John and Jane. How perfect is that? Alright buh-bye.

10:30 PM - 6:30 AM, Friday - Saturday, May 10th - 11th, 1996: SHOW 134
Goddamn Reds. Delayed for 3 hours from 7:30 until 10:30. Delayed at 11:30 until 1:00. Then delayed..(yes they started playing again at 1:00 AM)..at 1:30 until 1:50 when they called it. What utter stupid bullshit. Hey, but the listeners hung on!! Great show, good BD. Even a good 4:00, and barely had time for Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. Need to promote my CD signing tomorrow.

11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Saturday - Sunday, May 11th -12th, 1996: SHOW 135
Whew. Rough night. Larry from the West side died in a house fire Saturday morning. At first I didn't know who it was because the Larry that calls me sounds young and this guy was 44. But it was the same guy. This was hard. You get so close to your callers, and to imagine one of them dying in such pain, is simply unbelievable. Anyway, the show was pretty good. Jim's Outdoor Review became his Movie Review since it rained all week. He did Twister, and gave it 4 J's. Mike from Westerville (the original Movie Review guy) has never called back. Can't really remember the night that well. Went by so quickly. A lot of talk about my CD signing next week, have a feeling there will be quite a few people there. Thinkin' of changin' BD to Mind Trap permanently as it's just a better game, we'll see what happens. Anyway, still really bummed about Larry, hope next week goes better. (SIGH)

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Monday, May 13th, 1996:
That couldn't have gone better. John and Jane did a full segment with me and it was nothing but plug plug plug for my show, my CD, and all I've done in my short 20 years. Jane likes to call me "Young Adam Kontras" and they just couldn't get over how old I was. John played about 5 tracks from the CD and said that he thought "Stronger Than Before" was the hit. He was the music director back in the day so that was kind of cool. They totally played up the signing this Saturday and I'm sure it'll go great. At the end they said I now had to put stickers on the CD that said: "As heard on John and Jane". It was almost like happiness overload. I left that place feeling so incredible. I'm always wary of that feeling...
