10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Friday - Saturday, March 15th - 16th, 1996: SHOW 118
Well, the moment I've been waiting for is finally here. Dave is a good guy, but I knew he really had no idea what he was up against. Boy did he get it. A lot of pranks and a truly confusing 2 hours. Horrible really. At 2:00 I had him produce in the other room. The temporary studio is a mess and I just can't get used to it. No room. I have to stack all of my carts and cannot get to them very well it was a mess. I also didn't have anything to talk about. The great thing was he stayed all night! He said he will from now on. Even during the week the producers only stay until 2AM. So I have a full producer for 6 hours. Trivia went good. It's now Balderdash. DId a great song to the tune of "Beep Beep". A few kinks to be worked out in format, but I am determined to make it better than Theme Trivia. Finally the night came to an end. It was rough and Dave had it rough too. Lots of prankers got on, but in time it will get better. Also, absolutely no delay in the temporary room. That was rough. Afterwards Dave and I went to Tee Jayes for breakfast. Got more of a chance to know him. He's only 18 and a sophomore in college. Skipped a grade in grade school. So things were interesting, actually quite bad tonight, but there's a promising future for sure.
10:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Saturday - Sunday, March 16th - 17th, 1996: SHOW 119
Wow.....quite the killer night. Good talk, great callers...lots of them. Dave did a good job. I really like him. Had a SUPERB Coffee Talk with Glenn and Michael. It was awesome. Glenn went off it was fun. Balderdash went better. A little mix-up with scoring, but Dave will get better. I can't believe I have a producer all night. If any Cannon listeners tell him that, he'll go ape-shit. A lot of compliments on how good the show was going. Started to number the callers in the last 2 hours and got 20 new different ones. That way there will be no mistake if they're prankers or not. Overall I am pumped. Things went great and the future looks quite bright.
10:00 PM - 2:00 AM, Sunday - Monday, March 17th - 18th, 1996:
A full 4 hours tonight. Pretty funny as well. Cannon asked me how my weekend went, basically for TIPS. He said he'd been having trouble, and that his show wasn't going very well. God, I really do feel sorry for him, but he makes it hard sometimes. He's so stuck on himself sometimes that I can never talk to him. Ahh well. Jeff on a Carphone came in and gave me Jordan's Rookie Baseball card ($5-$8), which was nice. Actually called in Steve's show when I got home 'cause somethin' pissed me off, but that was basically it.
