SHOW 130
- Wow, Hour #1000 is right around
the corner. So is BWF #100, we did 98 tonight. It
looks like Angela will have Jack Nicholson lined up!
Man, haven't talked about that yet. She knows him .
Got an acting part because of him. Has called him, and
he says he'll do it, wants to ask his agent if it's a
breach of his contract. Yes, this does sound a bit
amazing. I half don't believe that she even talked to
the man. On the other hand, I can't believe she'd lie
to me about this. Oh well time will tell. Had to tell
everyone my CD would be a week late. Slow news week,
but I somehow got through it. Talk was good. BD was
good for awhile, but the prankers actually got in.
Really just the Dukes of Hazzard guy, who got in all
night. That sucked, and we started running out of
time, the segments need to be 12 minutes instead of
15. Otherwise it went good. I liked my Lester but I
wonder if anyone else does. Ah well, I'll just have to
make it more riske. Didn't get Wonderful World in by
Louis Armstrong AGAIN. Sorry Mary. Talked about
Minimum wage the last 15 minutes, and had to cut off 2
people. So overall good night, and the Bulls won
:-)

SHOW 131
- Started out killer, then got
slow, then got killer then slow. A really odd night.
Went in early to do pre-production work. Goddamn it
took a long time. Edited the BD
Sing-Off, redid my
Opener, made carphone sound effects, made a new Bomb,
oh and Lester #6. Whew. Barely made it on the air in
time. As I said the show was a roller coaster. Did a
CT on the minimum wage. Got so tiring that I blew
everyone up which was fun. BD went better, but am
having trouble working the hour out so we get right to
the top of the hour. I'll map it out this week. From
5:00 to 6:00 things pretty much blew. It was the
biggest bullshit hour of my life. Not sure how I got
through with only about 3 callers. Overall I'm pumped.
Jack Nicholson is calling Angela tomorrow, and My CD
should be out this week. And then...BWF
#100...WOW.

- 10:30 PM - 2:30 AM, Sunday -
Monday, April 28th - 29th, 1996:
- Holy shit am I pissed off right
now. Probably as mad as the cart incident. So at 1:55
Cannon types in and asks why I'm not listening. I had
been, but I was talking to the janitor at the moment.
I turn it up and he says "is it because I'm boring?"
As I am about to answer, the phone rings, and I
type...saved by the ring. Then he says: "Adam you do
the show..." After the third time he says it, I say to
myself: "You know...he threatened this last time, and
I gave him an out, not tonight." So I go in to talk to
him, and he puts on his coat AND LEAVES.I have 10
seconds until his spot is over and 3 minutes until the
top of the hour news, I play my opener, and take the 3
new callers and get to the top of the hour. During the
news I aearch the building and HE IS GONE. Why does
this only happen to me? As I prepare to do another
hour, there he is. He says he's "about ready to give
this up." Go ahead you fuckin' boring old man. I stick
around until 2:30, then I leave. I left a message on
Bill's voice mail, and then I write on the log, that
Cannon was off at 1:55 and that I went on until
2:09... GOD I'M LIVID. To put me in a situation like
that... what if I hadn't gone on? I wonder what
Bill's gonna do. This is all I need. Taking over
Cannon's job and then having to do BWF #100 during the
week without Angela and Nicholson.

- Bill calls and asks for the
whole story. I think he was in shock. Said he wouldn't
say anything to Cannon unless he brings it up. I said
he would play along too. He played it off as a joke
and will think nothing of it. Definitely a + for me,
but I'm sooo pissed. Had Bill been there he would know
it was definitely not a joke.
