THE BEST ONLINE LEAGUE NEWSLETTER 2.02   Friday, February 21st, 2003    Well in classic BestOnlineLeague.com style, we started early. We've already played 10 of the first 20 games for the first update and things are goin' amazingly. Great games, great players - even a nightly chat room with people talkin trash about past games and ongoing games. What I'm lovin' more than anything about this league is it truly feels like a bunch of freinds. That really makes a difference.   Let me take this moment to explain the quickest way to do stats:   3 7 7 0 17 79/260 7 0 7 7 21 97/301   That's it. That tells me the box score, then the rush/pass. Home team is always on the bottom. As far as personal bests, you're all responsible for your own. Period. Win or lose. It's just too much of a pain in the ass to find the opponents bests when you beat them. If you care about your personal records, write 'em down. The winner only needs to give me the above stats. Also, the personal bests should be written out like this:   Run - 61 - A. Thomas Pass - 80 - D. Terrell FG - 46 - P. Edinger KR - 103 - K. Christianson   And again, for the umpteenth time - if they don't beat your own personal records - don't waste yours or my time. Cool? Cool.   Now, the reason for this newsletter: The Mirror League, or more appropriately, the Blue League. Let me explain...   Ever since we got our 20 members for Season 2, I've gotten an assload of emails from people wanting in. Over 12 so far. Problem of course is, there really is no room for them, even in Season 3. As well, many people weren't able to get "their" team for Season 2 and would like a shot at having them. So it's obvious that there's enough demand for a simultaneous 20 man league.   The first dibs on the teams went to the 12 people who wanted into Season 2. I gave them 24 hours, officially up at 8 PM EST. 4 teams were taken and paid for: Jets, Raiders, Bears and 49ers. I now open it up to all current members. The league will be IDENTICAL to the current league. Same payout and payscale. Same stats, updates, videos and everything. Many guys with top tier teams have shown interest in taking a lower team in the Mirror League just to show what they're made of.   I didn't want to call the league - the B-League, as if it's somehow substandard, so Each league will have a color. The current league is the "Red" League, and this new one will be the "Blue" League. As well the first NBA league will be called the "Red" League. If there happens to be a 2nd league, it will be "Blue". We may even have some fun with the winners of these leagues playing each other. Talk about a SuperBOL.   "HOW THE HELL CAN YOU DO THIS?" "YOU'RE DOUBLING THE WORK! BOTH LEAGUES WILL SUFFER!"   LOL. Shut up EvoHock. The framework took me almost 150 hours of work. Trying to come up with a successful formula was the hard part. We have it now. Taking stats is very easy, and most of you all are doing the stats perfectly, and I just plug 'em in. It is my absolute intention to make this the best gaming experience for all 20, and soon to be all 40 of you. I would never take this on if I wasn't certain it would work out for all involved.   So anyway, email me with any team you may like.
