- Wow. What an incredible weekend. We've got all 20.
We're completely done. And there's truly one reason
why: Josh Shalin. He singlehandedly recruited 5
members. This man wants to PLAY. He went on "Live",
and talked it up. He actually found nearly 10 people
that were interested, and 5 that ended up taking the
last spots. Thank him when you play him, because he's
pretty much the reason we're starting on time...
-
- ...well you can thank me too. This fuggin' site
has ripped me a new one. The schedules? Dear LORD the
schedules. 160 games. Everyone playing their whole
conference once, 1/2 of the other conference, and an
AFC and NFC grudge match - equalling 16
games. 8 home games, 8 away games. Both of your grudge
matches are home and away. And on top of all that -
almost all your grudge-matches have a "reason". You're
related, you live close, it's an old-school
NFL rivalry - somthing. But now, it's completely
done.
-
- Now, before everyone starts bitchin' about their
schedules - please know this: The AFC is stronger
than the NFC. Period. So if you're an AFC team,
your schedule will be harder. That's just the way it
goes. As well, you're playoff run will be tougher too
- 'cause guess what: It'll be all AFC teams until
the SuperBOL. So no bitchin', unless you notice an
actual MISTAKE in the scheduling like a conflict. With
160 games to schedule, that could very well have
happened.
-
- But anyway, I'm so friggin' excited about this
season, I want to get it started this second...but it
will still start on the 21st. Still some people on
vacation, and honestly - the antipation will make the
season rule. What you can do however is arrange your
first 2 weeks. I'm sure you've ALLLLL read the Season
2 rules, so I don't even have to tell you this...but
I will:
-
- We're doing the whole season in 2 game bunches.
They can be out of order, but again - only 2 games.
Then when all of the first 2 "Weeks" are done
I will update the site, and send out a
newsletter. That's your cue to do your next set of 2.
I expect with 20 people, it will probably take a
FULL week, to do 2 games each. That's fine. The
regular season will be about 8 weeks. Not a problem.
Let's ENJOY this. If you have any other questions,
just read the rules - it's coverd.
-
- As was the case last season, all stats must be
complete for the game to count. Winner will take them.
PLEASE REMEMBER THE CONDITIONS. Be sure
to ask the home team what he made the conditions so if
you happen to win, you can write them down
correctly.
-
- As for what to do right now, just contact your
first 2 opponents, and try to workout a time to play
starting Friday the 21st. Tennessee, Oakland, New
York, and Denver are all on vacation until that day -
so you may not be able to get ahold of them. Just do
your best.
-
- At this point there's just not a whole helluva lot
I can say that isn't covered in the rules
section. Please read that fully. And also give me
suggestions on what your concerns may be about
fairness and what not. So far I think we're pretty
much covered. This is our second go 'round and we
really got a lot of shit worked out in Season 1.
-
- So check out all the links - make sure all the
info is correct - and by all means: PRACTICE. There
are no "weak" teams in this league. All of the most
powerful $15 teams were picked, and if you guys play
"smart" you'll be in the playoff run all season. So
practice, practice, practice.
-
- Alright, 5 days and counting... Giddy-up.
