Meeting #13. Ethan caught up with me before I met Bill and said there was a cart that he wanted me to hear. I get it and it's the John and Jane show, and I guess now they do Brushes With Fame! So Jean from the Northwest calls up defending me saying that I did it first and they're stealing. It was great. Jane actually treated me shitty saying "When is his little show on the air?" Then Gary called them up during a contest where they were asking the audience to "Guess the Singer" and said my name. Jane's goes: "Like everybody knows who Adam Kontras is?" - her tone man. Oh well, I'm being mentioned in afternoon drive time. It ain't a bad thing... Then the meeting. Really good meeting. Gave me some great hints on a BAD Aircheck. Though who am I kidding, it's always gonna be bad when your boss is sitting there listening to it with you. Told him about life, all was good.

11:30 PM - 6:00 AM, Friday - Saturday, February 16th - 17th, 1996: SHOW 109
Fun night. Introduced Theme Trivia coming in at 3:30 instead of 3:00. I like that much better. Also used the cart Ethan made for me, it was very funny. Night went very well. Damn is my audience big. All night long...callers after callers, new and old, very complimentary, and of course the prankers. They arrived around 3:00 in droves, but I did alright. Their determination is unreal. Talk was quick and funny, and my audience is really growing. And then again, BC in the morning - "Leave any tinklers or poo-pooers this morning?" I said no, in fact I played some songs to create a divide between my callers and yours. He then said "I don't mind, I find your callers amusing." For Christ's sake Bob. Then as I'm driving home, BC has a caller who says he's sick of hearing people laugh when things aren't funny. I thought he was talking about me, but he said that it was Jane, and then stumbled to find the name of the guy on before Cannon, said "Adam", then said: "No, Adam's pretty cool.." It was great, not only does he get me confused with full time help, he takes it back and then reams Hansel for the laughing thing...Ha! Gotta love it.

9:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Saturday - Sunday, February 17th - 18th, 1996: SHOW 110
First time I think since that one night Carmen produced for me, that I got on the air, no calls, and I was screwed. I find it challenging to get on with nothing in mind, and see what moves me. Not like this though. A lot of pranks and no good calls. And I mean a lot of pranks, it's getting outrageous again. Some guy called up and said to just make fun of them, that it was funny. So that was the first hour. Nothing really gelled all night. Glenn called at the 2:00 hour, but even that got old. Had the best talk at the 5:00 hour. I mean it was really interesting. Did Trivia at 3:30 again and I think that that's now pretty stable. It leaves enough room to screw around, and have a good full hour of questions and some fun. Brian won, and says he's determined to 3-Peat. He also is bringing me a pizza next Friday, and you can't beat that. Overall decent..no, I'd consider this a poor night. But that's alright, I've got my first new car! 1996 Toyota Corrola so all is good with the world.

10:00 PM - 2:00 AM, Sunday - Monday, February 18th - 19th, 1996:
Wow, a full 4 hours...it's been awhile. Cannon was askin' me about the weekend because apparently someone said I was harpin' him on my show. Glenn and I together. He knows better than that. I would never rag on an employee. But he sat there and gave me too much advice on Glenn and other call-in stars of Columbus. Too much, but some of it was good.
