11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Friday - Saturday, October 27th - 28th, 1995: SHOW 68
Went in early and recorded a new opener for "The Late Show". I've decided that's what I'll call it. It's an Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da satire, and after I remixed it in the morning and touched it up, it became the best of my quirky songs. Definitely my uniqueness at the station. The show started quick, lagged near the end of the hour then went great for the next 5 until 6:00. Yes, no hitter # whatever. Got into the legalization of drugs and it totally went off. I think I was more vocal than I've ever been. Why? John Ricardi called up and gave some absolute killer reasons on it, it strengthened my position and I went off. The opponents all seemed to have personal problems with the drugs. One's son was addicted to crack and in jail, one was a user and dealer and his son followed suit. These points of view were needed, but so biased they couldn't see our point. Anyway it was a great show. Tomorrow is the 7 hour show because of daylight savings time, and I pray that I can get a no-hitter. I'm gonna call it the lost hour, it should be fun.

11:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Saturday - Sunday, October 28th - 29th, 1995: SHOW 69
7 straight hours of talk! Although it wasn't quality talk. It was the same people all night on Coffee Talk, and I barely felt like part of it. I need to make changes but I'm not sure what yet. The last hour got very old, and people called in and said it sucked. Actually 2 people didn't like it, and 3 people later called in and said they loved it. Liking it truly is the sentiment, the problem is is it's the "Dave and Glenn Show" half the time. I need some new callers. They also need to fight some more, and disagree. The legalize drugs night was great, tonight was very boring to me. I can understand why people would call in and bitch. Either way the thing is is I did it, 7 straight hours. I don't think anyone else at that station could say that. NO ONE. Also the board was fucked up and gave me problems all night. It was hell. For some reason it wouldn't allow me to conference call! A rather crucial part of Coffee Talk. Then all of a sudden it let me...it was pretty bad. I also played a shitload of network spots to make it through. It's legal, but I pushed my luck. I'd rate this a bad night. Definitely not quality talk.

Same old same old. Read my Michael Jordan book while producing Cannon, and the time flew by. Yep, real exciting.
