It
figures after all the decision-making going into the
GOLD color of this year, I'd change it on the 2nd
entry. LOL. Rest assured this is a once in a lifetime
occurence, and all will be back to normal
soon.
But
holy shit. I mean HOLY SHIT. What is so
incredible about last night's game is that there's no
argument... that was the greatest football game of
all-time. That was the Superbowl of Superbowls, that
was the game of games - nothing comes close. It easily
ranks up there as one of the biggest upsets (though
there are quite a few) but in terms of the actual game
- BEST. No one will refute that. I still can't believe
it. I thought we'd stay close for a half and then get
our asses handed to us in the 2nd half. What I didn't
count on was the AMAZING turnovers by Miami. The big
plays were just SO BIG.
I
mean, Clarett - are you kidding? Did you run down the
dude after he intercepted it and just TOOK it back?
WHAT?
I
won't rifle off all the plays that blew my mind as
each and everyone of you reading it were right there
with me. There were more memories in that one game
than every bowl game cooper ever coached. And that's
NOT an understatement. But lemme just say this really
quick: 4th and 14 in overtime? After 2 incompletions
and a SACK?
AND THEY MAKE IT?
I
don't care what kind of fan you call yourself - you
did NOT believe they were pulling that out. Shut up.
You didn't. You'll see in the video that I was
dejected on the couch - certain it was over - and
woosh. Well hell that's how the whole game was. And
the infamous call? Bullshit call. There may have been
interference BEFORE the ball was thrown, but you
don't call that. But oh well - they did. And
furthermore - Miami got the SAME bullshit call when
they got the ball, was given the ball at the
TWO yardline and couldn't get it in - so
HAHAHAHA.
Thanks
to unlimited weekend nights, I was able to spend
the WHOLE game with my father at my grandfather's
house during the party via cell phone. I got a
new phone that works with my XBOX Live headset
and man, it was like I was there. It was so
awesome to be able to hear everyone cheering at the
same time. We were all losing our minds.
I
truly think I may have hit my target
heart-rate for a sustained 2 hours in the
2nd half. An unprecedentedly close game.
Anyway - here's the
video
of me freakin' out. I especially
enjoy my reaction of sadness when we
"lost". I just kinda drop my head -
knowing it's over. That and the 4th and 14
reaction. I'm sitting there KNOWING it's
done and then I look like someone hit me
in the head: "HEY - they just got it
dumbass...jump up and down some more". I
will never forget last night
man...unreal.
So
let's add to the amazement of the day...earlier I had
the interview with the chiropractor's office - boom
got it. I start Monday. It's only part time
(25-30), but it's a nice stable job that will never
fluctuate (knock on wood). Then I can get a 2nd job
during the weekends or evenings to bring in my part.
Jess is lined up with what she'll do during school -
and it looks like we are actually gonna pull this off.
I must thank Remo the cigar man for hooking me up with
this job. He's a guy I met at a Lulu's gig a few years
back and have kept in contact since. He has an eerie
resemblance to Darryl for you WTVN fans, but
thankfully he actually has a conscience. LOL. He was
trying to find some video work for me, but besides
having too little experience - most of the jobs were
project specific, 3-4 week gigs anyway. I had to
have something stable that would allow Jess to go to
school. He came through by simply thinking of me when
his chiropractor needed an office manager. Remo - you
the man. At some point I'll return the favor. Lord
knows how...
And
finally today was the day Jess and I were all excited
about - 'cause we were going to a realtors to see
about actually buying a condo. We figured we could
maaaaaaaybe pull off a $200,000 loan which around here
will get you into a pretty shitty condo, but you won't
be losing money on the investment for sure. California
real-estate is friggin' gold. Well after today - we
realized it will never happen. Get this, taxes
insurance, and maintenance on a condo - is an
EXTRA $750 a month. On top of the $1100 base.
LOLOL. Whatever. Yeah, I don't think we can pull off
$1850 a month. Can you believe that SHIT? And we're
talking a 1 MAYBE 2 bedroom condo. Unless we live
in Compton - not a chance.
Oh
well - it's nice to know it's COMPLETELY out of
the question. It's not like it's close and just
maybe...no. LOL - won't even give it a second thought.
The goal now is to get Jessica through school while I
spend my free time pushing 4tvs and other strange
entertainment related things. The lowlight of all this
is a plan for kids/house - that whole life, seems to
have to take place out of California. And most likely
in Columbus near family and so on. You have to be a
friggin' millionaire out here to have what's consider
even "middle-class" in Ohio. And even then - the kids
would be in daycare 50% of the time. Because there's
NO way it could happen on one salary.
That
is of course unless I "make it" somehow. Welcome to
reality. Ahh well. No biggie now. Just keep pluggin'
away. Hell Jess is only 24. She won't hate and resent
me for at LEAST a few more years. ;)
So
I officially enter the working world again on Monday.
Seriously - 3 years removed from a stable job.
Hollywood Screentest was close, but it was ever-so up
and down, and by all means "per-project" basis.
To say I'm happy is to say the least. I'm ecstatic. To
FINALLY be bringing in something, anything that can be
counted on week after week is heaven. And the fact
that it leaves me with the time to get a 2nd job is
killer. Commercial Audtions may be out unfortunately.
The 2 I've had would've conflicted with my new
schedule. That's life though. Bills first, commercial
cattle-calls second. And more than anything - time to
write the 2 shows. Can't wait.
It's
turnin' out to be a kickass year so far. Man, the
Buckeyes freakin' upset Miami. How is that even
possible. Word.

thankful it's not "Scarlet and
