10:30 PM - 5:45 AM, Monday - Tuesday, August 26th - 27th, 1996: SHOW 176
Ahh the Reds. Rain Delay gives me interruptions every 15 minutes until 1:00 when they call it and run post game until 1:30. Then the show is all fucked up. Then we have a Coffee Talk where people keep bringing up different things. Ahhh it was nuts finally trivia which did go well, and then the final hour. Overall it was a pretty good night. But I’m glad it’s done. Seemed on the edge the whole time. Will have a new Boyles tomorrow, and a tired boy when the day is done. The new Program Director is Darryl Parks. Worked in Buffalo and most recently in Cincinnatti. Keep your fingers crossed.

5:30 PM - 5:30 AM, Tuesday - Wednesday, August 27th - 28th, 1996: SHOW 177
Well the Reds tonight and last night take an hour from me. Oh well. KILLER SHOW. THE BEST SHOW I’VE EVER HAD DURING THE WEEK. Well, I liked The Boyles, did get some comments on it. I laughed out loud every time it was played. Talk was great and packed. It’s nice. No dull moments, call after call and segment after segment. Also had intros into every commercial. Made 13. Just little ditties to make you laugh as you’re hearing a commercial. Makes the show seem much smoother. The show is nearing the pinnacle of coolness. My performance is all that I feel is needed for improvement. Also some guy wrote a great Top Nine List on why 9 is better then 10. It’s great. Wow, 3 listener Top 9 Lists. I love it. Thank God it’s finally happening. Wish I could say more. Smooth, and funny. Bye.

9:30 PM - 10:00 AM, Wednesday - Thursday, August 28th - 29th, 1996: SHOW 178
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ......Went in early and did a part of The Boyles with Burgundie, and the Top Nine List. The show was slow, but I handled it well. Talked very good, sounded energetic and it paid off. People started trickling in. Then Mind Trap. It’s now over. It has come to an end. We will replace it with a new and improved Theme Trivia. Sounds easy enough. Of course 5 hours later, doing production, I realized what a chore it was to redo everything with new songs. 5 hours man. 5 hours! Boyles don’t take that long. Everything’s done, and it should work great. Being there so late, I won’t be able to go to Bill’s goodbye party at noon. So I just went in before i left:

Meeting #20: I said goodbye, handed him a letter and that was it. We shook hands, he said keep in touch, and that was it. Seemed too quick. Oh well. He talked to the new guy Darryl Parks, and the guy said he was happy to know that there was a guy working overnights on the weekend doing more than spinning records. That’s good. Then I turned around and that was it. Just like that. Don’t really know what I expected. But It’s like moving to a new station, yet knowing everything about it. Ok, I’m tired.

10:30 PM - 5:30 AM, Thursday - Friday, August 29th - 30th, 1996: SHOW 179
WOW. What a killer week. Every morning awesome except for Tuesday morning. Good talk, spirited, lots of callers. Had Aaron from Grandview in studio drawing The Boyles. He did spectacular. He captures Lester perfectly. Perfectly. I’m looking at it now and am in awe. So The Boyles Vol. 1 should be out some time next week. I hope. 100 copies, numbered and signed by Aaron and I. I’m pumped. Talk was good and not too serious. And then Theme Trivia. It was great except the Face-Off. I forgot we used to do it as a free for all, and I made it too long, but I’ll fix that tomorrow. And Tomorrow I'm back on my home turf. It should be a killer weekend. New Boyles of course. #17. Wow. Burgundie’s in it. Ok, goodnight.

5:45 PM - 6:00 AM, Friday - Saturday, August 30th - 31st, 1996: SHOW 180
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Dead. Noone! Anyway went in and finally got aol to work. Took awhile. Did it while I produced Munch. Got The Boyles done. I didn’t like it too much, but people responded well. The show blew though. I didn’t really notice since I was having fun online, but it was slow. Angela said she liked it better that way. I don’t really give a shit what she thinks really. It was fun online though. That could be cool. Glad the night’s over. Perkins was laughing at the Boyles when he came in. That’s cool. He writes Billy Ray Vulgar, so him liking The Boyles is rather cool. Theme Trivia went very well tonight. Ok, dead tired.

8:00 PM - 7:15 AM, Saturday - Sunday, August 31st - September 1st,1996: SHOW 181
Shitty night number 2. Everyone must be on vacation. Online was slow as well. And I was not into it tonight. Angela calls in and says her starter isn’t working. Just leaves a message and doesn’t bother to give me her number so I can call her and say I’ll pick her up. Kind of pissed. John and I were putting The Boyles together, so he helped out until 1:00 AM. Aaron helped out until 3:00 AM, and then Leon stayed until 6:00 AM! That was cool of them. But the show was sloooooooooooooow. Boo. Anyway. Replayed The Boyles instead of a new Lester. And got The Boyles tape done! Now if Aaron can finish the final touches on the picture, we’re there. Thank God my 9 day stint is over. I put in 75 Hours this week!!!!! 75 Hours!!!!! That’s a new record for me. 35 hours overtime is unreal. And so ends the Bill White era at 610 WTVN. Everyone's a bit on edge on just what happens next but as I said before I feel good about it. The show has never been better and I'm certain Darry will see that. Ok, I can’t even see the screen I’m so damn tired. Goodnight.
