10:00 PM - 2:00 AM, Monday - Tuesday, April 8th - 9th, 1996:
This starts off my week of producing as Carmen is on vacation. Sean Ireland was a guest host. She was very funny and nice. Very witty as well. Felt almost flirtatious talking with her because we laughed so much. She was only on for 45 minutes, and KP and I sat in for awhile to help her which I knew would upset Bill if he listened. I did that with Wasserman a while back and he told me not to. Anyway worked out good. Mentioned Cannon's nickname of Boom-Boom, and he came in and told all of us the story when he got on. It was probably great to listen to. A Coffee Talk without the phone lines. Overall good night except the Bulls lost the closest game I've ever seen and I will not be part of "the history of 70" in Cleveland. It will be #69. So close to witnessing history. Still no word from Lehner yet on my press pass though. I also did a version of "Cow-Funk" show used 18 voices...it was fun. I'm gonna do a little bit each night and have a killer show this weekend.

10:50 AM - 11:30 AM, Tuesday, April 9th, 1996:
Bill called and I told him the whole story. He was somewhat upset that I told him to leave the next night. I explained that after he walked out on me again, I wasn't about to get hoodwinked three times. He kept saying he didn't know what to do now, I thought it was quite obvious. I really hope I wasn't over-stepping my bounds. He was also worried about upcoming hours as Dave was running ESPN and I explained KP already had those taken care of. He said he was upset because he's put so much time into this show...more time than he has for even BC. I asked him not to give up on a producer, that Angela (that listeners wife) wanted to talk to him Wednesday. I think he's alright, but he seems extremely dissappointed in Dave. He kept saying: "It's not that hard, maybe I should sit in with him." I said that Dave was doing things right, but he just flipped out. There is nothing hard about the job, it's just the common courtesy that he lacks...the common courtesy with me. I would never, ever walk out when I was producing Cannon.....ever. He's just young. Bill was cool (I still feel bad), he was upset that I ever let him on the air to begin with, and I agreed. In being nice I gave him too much "star" feeling. Then I get a call back 10 minutes later and he already fired Dave! Like that. Said that Dave said I knew he left. I explained that Dave said I "should have seen him get his coat and leave". Anyway it's done and I'm gonna leave Bill alone for a bit. Then Dave calls me all pissed off saying he was trying to be nice and help me and this is how I repay him. And I happily replied "If I hadn't made that slot into a talk format, your job wouldn't exist." We fought for a bit. He finally admitted he handled the situation poorly by leaving and I agreed. I'm pissed that my show is becoming a "problem". Bill's right he shouldn't have to deal with all this shit with the weekend overnight guy. But what could I do?!?! Ugh.

10:30 PM - 2:00 AM, Tuesday - Wednesday, April 9th - 10th, 1996:
Sean kicked ass tonight. The most calls I've ever seen in one hour. Probably 50. All on 'all-time favorite tv shows'. Simply awesome. Oh, and I got the press pass. You know I'm happy, but it's even more depressing that they lost now. I'll actually could've been there for 70. Cannon was funny. I talked to him on the air a bit. KP and I talked for an hour as well. Told her the Dave story...how strange it is. Kevin Rowe is in tomorrow. I like him, one of my favorites.

10:30 PM - 2:00 AM, Wednesday - Thursday, April 10th - 11th, 1996:
Will Kevin didn't get on until 11:30 because the Reds ran so long. KP and I sat in there and helped him out, only had 2 calls. I feel odd being on with the other guests. I hate to infringe. Anyway things went good. He's a great guy. Cannon had one call for his first 45 minutes, then busy all night. Oh and Angela came in earlier and filled out an application and I caught flack from Rod in the Business Dept., because he thought I gave her the job. Anyway, we're gonna have a meeting tomorrow at 10:00 AM. Cannon and I got along, and all in all had a pretty good two hours.

9:00 AM - 10:30 AM, Thursday, April 11th, 1996:
So I call Bill up to say I couldn't make it until 10:30, and he had no clue what I was talking about. Apparently Angela made the meeting with that Rob dude, Bill hadn't a clue. Then he calls back and says she's here, when can I be here. Then calls me back and says forget it, he'll talk to her. Then he calls me back and asks if I can be there at noon. So the meeting is at noon. God this isn't working out too well.

12:00 PM, Thursday, April 11th, 1996:
Meeting #16. Well she seems like she'll be bitchy enough to deal with the prankers. She has that white-trash-won't-take-shit-from-anyone look. Showed her around, so Friday will be a kind of test. Show her what to do, and see what happens. I'm hopeful, and she looks like she really needs this job. Man, she brought her baby into the lobby at the job interview. Oh well, things are cool. I sure hope we get along.

10:30 PM - 2:00 AM, Thursday - Friday, April 11th - 12th, 1996:
Kevin was only on for 30 minutes tonight. He really is a great guy. He makes me laugh. A good 30 minutes. He gets paid 50 bucks for that. Wow. I called in as this old man to Kevin - it was funny as hell. Cannon once again had no callers for about 45 minutes, then he says to me on the air "Do you have this problem on the weekends?" What the hell was I supposed to say? No, actually Cannon, I have never gone this long without a call? So I tried to be nice and said that I had the BWF to back me up which was a nice gimmick. "Oh, so it's a bunch of gimmicks, not a real talk show" I was livid. I let him go, but I was pretty pissed at that comment when I was trying to be nice. Then he picks up my BWF cart and plays it! I couldn't believe it. Finally some people called up just so he'd stop cryin' about not having callers. He did say some nice things about my music, but wow, what a way to get to it. After that everything was fine, but man, what an odd couple of moments that was. KP was just as much in awe as I was.

9:30 PM - 6:00 AM, Friday - Saturday, April 12th - 13th, 1996: SHOW 126
Went in early and made up a new skit/song that I had thought about after calling Kevin. Lester from West Virgina. A grumpy old man who bitches. Kind of like Billy Ray Vulgar. Tonight he bitched about the Columbus Crew. I really pushed the envelope. He said "And now we're supposed to get excited about the Columbus Screw.... the only screw I'm gonna be excited about, won't have anything to do with soccer balls!" Definitely a borderline one, but what the hell. Angela's first night, and she did pretty well. Unfortunately she has absolutely NOOOO typing skills, but overall she was fine. Didn't really screen much either. About 5 prankers. Then at trivia the prankers posing as players and fucking up the scores I said I'd just do the face-off early. Angela, off-air, said: "Yeah that's what you should do - you always threaten it but never DO it" Kind of a shitty comment. She also had some shitty comments in the meeting with Bill, saying how Glenn is always on, just really disrespectful to the guy who's giving you a job. It really is my age. Ah well. Since we did the face-off early, I was stuck at about 4:15 with not a damn thing to say. Played some skits that were funny, played one song. Got to 5:45, and Bill called and said I could play I Trusted You from my new CD if I wanted! My song! Ain't that amazing!!! It was great. Good way to end the show....wow, I wonder if he heard Lester Boyle?

11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Saturday - Sunday, April 13th - 14th, 1996: SHOW 127
Saw the Crew premier and did my Lester on it. It was truly funny. It will be one of the better skits I've ever come up with. Great first hour...to tell ya the truth can't think of a better one. My CD, the Crew...it was great. 1:00 was ok....2:00 so so. Mind Trap went great had a lot of prankers, but both Angela and I are getting better at recognizing voices. As if we don't have enough to do that hour anyway. Got a lot of good questions to ask MJ from the listeners....wow, 1 hour 'til I'm off to Cleveland. The rest of the show went semi well, extremely streaky though. No calls and then BAM too many. Ah well. Best thing about this weekend has to be the competence of Angela and Lester from West Virginia. Alright I'm off to Cleveland.

8:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday, April 15th, 1996:
Went in to edit down my audio of the lockeroom (got some amazing lockeroom audio) for the show this week. It's gonna take forever. I'll have to come in on Wednesday and early Friday to get it all done. Very excited about this week's show.
