I've looked at
this pic for 10 minutes straight. I don't think
there's ever been one like it in the history of "The
Journey". There's much more relief for not losing
again, than there is joy for winning.
'Cause I really haven't won anything.
Truth be told, and if history is any indication, I've
just set myself up higher for the eventual fall - LOL.
Heh, I don't really believe that but I'm
certainly prepared for it. All I can say is,
I see no way of getting a call tomorrow
losing EVERYTHING. They said it on NATIONAL TV.
WE ALL HEARD THEM. So for once
I get to be happy for a longer period of
time.
Now
for those of you who sat through that show
- what, the, FUCK. Everything they've done
on this series has been right after 8
AM... today however they
TEASED IT FOR GODDAMN EVER.
It was the last segment on the fuggin'
show. You'll
enjoy the
video
(one of my personal favorites now) as
I was pacing forever talking to my
dad. When Harry on the show said 67% I was
actually sitting there trying to do math
equations: "If I was leading
yesterday, and the winner has 67% to their
combined 33% it has to be..." and then
I heard the A from Adam and POW.
Goddamn what a feeling. To those of you
who were wondering how this is gonna work
from here, I made this handy little
bracket. Like you didn't think
I would do something this
anal:
OK... well maybe
you didn't think I would do something that
anal. That is pretty ridiculous. LOL.
Now from what
I can gather, the winner of this would be
considered a "final act". They will conceiveably do
this two more times for a total of 6 weeks, and then
have 3 finalists coming to New York. Just my
assumption as the producer didn't even know at this
point. It can't be a whole lot more than that as
they've been calling the "first round" the finalists.
So since this was planned to go all summer, I think my
scenario makes the most sense. Here's what they said
on the site this morning:
So my
guess is that on July 10th they will pit
the first three week's winners against
each other to go to New York. Whew. I'll
be in Columbus during that. THAT'll
be a video...
Alright
- there's not a whole helluva lot more to
add right now. I have GOT to get some
sleep. I sincerely thank all of you
from the bottom of my heart. You guys
worked your ASSES off for that.
67%?!?! Jesus. That's unbelieveable in a 3
person race. That's like 67% - 17% - 16% -
wow. I simply can't thank you enough.
I feel like the entire weight of The
Journey is distributed among this vast sea
of supporters and it's an incredible
feeling. We've been down such a road...
this quote that Chad put in the boards
says it all:
"Nothing in
the world can take the place of
Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is
more common than unsuccessful men with
talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius
is almost a proverb. Education will not;
the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are
omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has
solved and always will solve the problems
of the human race." --Calvin
Coolidge
What a difference
a week makes.
;-)
Adam
PS - just when you
thought the day couldn't get any better:
"Americas
Got Talent had the summers biggest
debut last week. The question was whether it would
grow into the summers biggest hit or shrink
into simply a solid show in week two. The answer:
It shrank.
A 60-minute
Talent averaged a 3.8 adults 18-49
overnight rating last night, down 17 percent from
last weeks 4.6 for its two-hour debut. It
tied with Foxs So You Think You Can
Dance in the 9 p.m. hour, one week after
besting it by 0.4 rating points."
They actually had
a female stripper on last night (I read) and
passed her on to the 2nd round. Could they possibly be
more trashy? Still sad for all the people who believed
so much in that show.
