- It gets slightly
depressing when you look at where we were 5 months
ago. 3 days away from exactly 5 months on the
dot when that woman sat down and blew my
fucking mind. Shall I refresh your memory?

- So I was
meeting with Vinnie Favale who is the VP of late
night, Letterman and Fergusen, and I asked him if
he had seen The Egos on Living Room Live. He
hadn't, so I emailed him the page. He called back
that afternoon(which is unheard of for someone so
busy) and said: "This guy is incredible. We gotta
put him on after Fergusen, and I have a name for
the show: Up & Adam, let's meet with Steve
(Friedman) over lunch and discuss it". They did and
they want you to do whatever you can think of in
those 30 minutes. Just go crazy. Mwah Mwah, mwah
mwah mwah mwah, mwah mwah? Mwah mwah mwah mwah
mwah. MWah? Mwah - mwah...mwha. Mwha mwha mwha.
Mwha mwha mwha mwha.

- Of course it's not
her fault it was all bullshit, in fact it's nobody's
fault. Vinnie in good faith wanted to do those things,
but simply didn't have the power to. Can't fault the
man for trying, or her for parlaying such info. It's
what else she said during that meeting that she
did control - and everything since that time
that has been as boldface of a lie as I've ever dealt
with. And I have proof beyond a reasonable doubt on
tape, in writing - all of which doesn't matter. All
that did was allow me my own personal reassurance that
I'm not insane.

- What we're left
with now is a disastrous situation. I'm owed over
$10,000 - there's lying, misinformation, out and out
attempts at deceiving me to save another $1850 for a
computer they now don't want to reimburse. New
contracts to replace old contracts for the 4th time.
An earlier negotiation process that was filled with
such hatred they wrote and I quote:

- "We're sorry
if you and Adam feel that our final number wasn't
generous enough. We're also sorry that this didn't
work out and wish Adam well in his future
endeavors.

- Have a nice
summer."

- And this because
we took a lower offer last year with the express
written promise there would be more the second time
and they offered us the exact same contract (after
weeks of begging for something). It's been
unbelieveable. And the killer in all of it is when I
finally just accepted everything the next day I get a
call from her - literally one lie after another. I
guess she didn't remember that I always sent
everything TO her as well as the attorney? So I
know she saw everything. I mean she literally made up
things that Charlotte never said in emails that I had
sitting in front of me. On the phone tried to knock
another $100 a week off my salary to see if I would
catch it. At every possible turn trying to stab at me.
And then the computer? WOW.

- I purchased
this computer on May 29th. It took them nearly 5 weeks
to send a check and when they finally did it had 45%
taxes taken out. AN EXPENSE CHECK. After a
week they finally admitted the mistake - told me not
to cash it - at which point an automatic payment
knocked me over my credit limit as I was waiting
forever to cover the expense - and then they come back
and say taxes had to be taken out because I'm keeping
the computer! All of which is wrong - but their way to
fix this - pay me for 2 extra weeks, one before and
one after my contract. Whatever people. I mean for
fuck's sake. Let's just up my tax bracket ad infinitum
on something that should've been a goddamn expense
check. For fuck's sake. But then - they cheat me on
the back end of the fucking contract! They short the
end of the contract by a week to screw me out of that
money. When I tell them this - they say, I'm
incorrect. When I prove it to them - they get another
person involved with the show to REITERATE what
I said and try to use that against me. To
which I finally just said -
"YOUR OWN POINT PROVES MY POINT".
LOL. You just can't imagine.

- Meanwhile I'm
stuck with no money. And that's just on the computer
butt-fuck. I just finished 3 weeks of work and I've
gotten 1 weekly check. To say I'm a low priority is to
say the least. Oh and they no longer return any emails
or phone calls from Charlotte. Why? Because she called
them on their lies. She did what she was supposed to
do and stood up for me. Now in the real world - I
would respond to the emails from the attorney by
saying: deal with my manager - this is not my
job - but at this point? What purpose would that
serve? I'm just trying to hold onto all of this until
week 13 man. Because there's no way there's a
4th.

- Of course that's
just the money side of it - all the other stuff is
just as bad. Absolutely promised on February 10th that
I would be doing the last 3 introductions ON The
Early Show from LA. Making a little 90 second package
of me introducing the acts and that's what they would
play. This is in Season 2 mind you and from that point
on. That never happened but the high from "Up &
Adam" made me let that slide. Now of course she says
everything is the same - that was never even brought
up before. I bring it up in an email - she completely
ignores it. That's the other great thing about her AND
the lawyer. You can't write more than one topic in an
email or they ignore it. Lovely. Anyway - so now not
only is that gone - but the whole 20 second promo
I used to get? Gone. 'bout 5 seconds now. And
what kills me is I make, compress, and upload a
commercial each week with clips of the new show. In
fact - they used to show that

and now it's
down to THIS.
Even funnier is
they use the generic clip from the promo so they might
as well use the same one each week. Instead we go
through all the trouble of uploading it - having
people put it on tape on Sunday - hand deliver it to
the studio by Monday morning for that. When
I bring this up Nanci writes back: "Nothing is
different - it's the exact same time as last
season".

- And what do you
say? What the fuck do you say? If someone tells you
the sky is green, what do you say? The answer is:
nothing. You don't say anything. This isn't about
truth or communication. It's about power - and they
have it all. Now I wrote out the copy that went
under the longer version and explained how it had been
cut out - but of course no response. Literally - they
fight with you until you prove your point, and then
ignore you and act like there was never an issue to
begin with. And they can do it.

- Think that's not
enough? How 'bout censoring every episode to
unbelieveable levels. Like, I can never say
"Julie" or "Les" again. Ever. She made me take
out the word "constipation". Oh and the fight about
even mentioning a closet and Spencer in the same
sentence. Whew. I won that one though (by
replacing Cavity with Strip in regards to a "Search").
It's been constant. Oh and thoughts on Up
& Adam? Gone. I wrote to Vinnie weeks
ago about the pilot I'm trying to do - and nothing.
Completely ignored.

- Now the catch in
all of this is Steve. He doesn't know of any of this
computer stuff - and I've tried my damndest not to
involve him. But where's the line? We're pretty damn
close I must say. I mean shouldn't he know what the
people under him are doing? At some point even as a
friend do you write a sincere letter? Like "Dude, you
just have to know this..." Maybe after I'm no longer
working for CBS that letter is in order. But then
again, I don't really know Steve - he may be 100%
aware of everything that's happening. Something tells
me however he isn't. He's the one that jumped in and
paid for 100% of the computer - and I think that
pissed the other 2 off and they're simply making my
life hell right now on purpose. I've long since given
up on the "inept" bullshit - it's all pretty contrived
to me now. I mean, after admitting that no witholdings
should've been taken out - I get this email from
her:

to do is add two weeks salary to your current
contrat
- because the
computer itself, since you are keeping it, IS
correctly
- taxed as
income. ****** is amending your contract to start a
week earlier
- (since you
did shop and set up that week) and end a week
later--he'll

from you.

in all of this. As if they have never expensed
anything before. LOL. Unbefuckinglieveable. And btw -
since I did shop and set-up that week, then why aren't
I OWED that money anyway? I shopped and
set-up for 3 weeks actually - but wtf?

get it out. And believe me... believe me,
