HARD RD. CAFE
Friday, December 10th, 1999, (9:30-1:15AM)

THE SETUP
Sometimes you just have a baaaaad feeling. This was one of those places. Maybe it was the people there, or the heavy metal on the juke box, but I knew tonight was gonna be tough. Set-up was cramped, and you could barely see the bottom TVs, but oh well.

THE PERFORMANCE
SET 1: HARRY - PARODY 1 - RHYTHM
SET 2: LIFE - PARODY 2
SET 3: SLIDE - LOVE - ABBEY
SET 4: BURG - LIFE

I sang alright, very pumped about the new stuff...the reaction though...

THE REACTION
After the first set, I was ready to pack it in and go to LA, right then. People yellin' out comments, no one caring - none of my people showed up. It was tough. Then some people I knew came in and it was all good. They were all up front having fun, and everyone else I forgot about. The movie went over very well, and it was really a big night for me. It's really the beginning of a new road for 4tvs. I'm doing stuff now that I could've never done with ABOT, and it's better, funnier and just well excecuted. The audience reaction didn't bother me because I know there is an audience for it somewhere. And just 'cause some drunk people in Powell, Ohio are being shitty - it makes no difference to me. The people that did come for me were awesome and they ended up making the night awesome as well. What was once shitty - ended up being all nice and flowery. Heh heh... I know I'll never play here again.
