MY FIRST $$$ IN LA!!! A guy I had met online brought his date to the show. I split the door with the theater owner and pow: I got $5 for gas. That's a whole 2 gallons these days..but still!!! It's a start. The performance was so awesome. I know it's only 2 people, but they were paying attention. ANd that's all I can ask for. It was so nice. Did an hour sat for a bit and then did Abbey road before they had to go. It's amazing how different I act when there's people watching. Call it what you will but at Barney's when no one's watching it's hard to do much more than just sing. When there's NO ONE paying attention there's no energy to feed off of. Just knowing 2 people hadn't seen it before was enough to keep me going. Man this theater is gonna rock. I'm so excited for the upcoming shows here.

 

THE REACTION

 

The chick was quiet, but the guy liked all the "black singers" I performed. LOL. I'm such a wannabe. I do Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson..and he even noticed the Dinah Washington song...He was very impressed, and that's cool. I was buzzin'. So excited about having this place to play at. This could REALLY be the start. I've got at LEAST 6 weeks to push this and I can't wait to see the outcome. I honestly, never want to play Barney's again. But right now, the food is a HUGE incentive. WOO HOO! Great night. Best night ever in LA. It's only going uphill from here.
