My twin brother has a irregular heart beat. Until recently there was
nothing anyone could do. I guess there is a minor operation that can be
performed to correct this (if you have the same thing). He had it done last
week, unfortunately there was a slight complication and they have to re-try
in the near future. I haven't seen him for about six months, my dad keeps
me informed. I don't know if he has ever had an attack like that. I'll do
some research, talk to him, and see if we can assume you have the same
thing. No, they don't crack your chest open. Don't Worry!

I have had something similar happen in the past,
once I got my stress and sleep in order and started taking vitamins,
particularly magnesium
(which helps your nervous system), I now feel fine.
Good luck,

Hey Adam,
I think I may have an explanation to what might have happened to you the
other night. I think it was a panic or anxiety attack. The reason I say this
is I had the exact thing happen to me. I actually thought I was having a
heart attack, I had pain in my chest a weird heart beat the sweats and other
stuff. It was terrible. My DR. had me wear a heart monitor for a week to make
sure it was not a heart attack. The DR. also said that many times panic or
anxiety attacks are often mistaken for heart attacks because many of the
symptoms are similar. I hope this is what happened even though very
unpleasant, the outcome is much better that a heart attack. The strange thing
about it is that consciously you do not realize that you are worrying or
stressing about something. Seems like you were just really stressed that day
and that can bring it on. RELAX ADAM! Things sound like they are going well.
You're doing great. Take it easy, I'll talk to you later.
Your Friend,
-Heather
