I had no idea. We had talked about some of palaur, but it went so much
deeper than ... wow. Hard times really suck. It is amazing how they form us
though in subtle ways, some not so subtle. It will be interesting to see how
this develops, although I have to admit it seems like reading someone else's
mail for some reason....taboo...oh yeah. It is someone's else's mail...

Adam....
Well, bud, I knew you during the divorce and everything that followed, but
since we only talked on line and on air, with a few exceptions, I guess I
didn't know the whole story. You know my reaction to "Hearing my Thoughts."
One of the most powerful pieces of music I've ever heard. I guess this new
project is part of that, a growing and changing part of your life that needs
to be expressed. I, for one, look forward to it. I always wished our
friendship could have been closer. Maybe this will be part of that, too.
Take care, my friend. Miss yakking at ya..

Adam,
That Palaur concept sounds very, VERY cool.
Can't wait! (Hey, man...I'm dying to hear your recordings
from your radio days).
You know, it's funny...I could relate to your emotional distress
with your ex...maybe we've all been there at one time.
Someday I'm going to have to hear all about those early days
with your wife and the divorce...it just sounds like an interesting
story. Not in a "good" way per say...just interesting. It's the kind of
thing every young couple should probably listen too.
What's Jess' thought on Palaur?
How's the gigs going?
Be well and I look forward to another journal entry soon!
best,
-Rich

Adam and Jess, I would respond to Paul whatever .com except I have no clue
what you are talking about. I have to wait until your Dad gets a chance to
read this and he can maybe explain what the heck this is all about. Just
wanted to say he and let you know how glad I was to get your email. I was
thinking maybe you had deleted me from your email addresses which would have
deleted me from your life. Thanks for letting me be wrong. Hope all is
going well - anxious to hear how Jess' job is going and how J-dog is
adapting to the new life style. Not much new hear - same old same old.
Your Dad got the third song done on the cd - 7 to go. I feel certain he can
get this project done by 2003. Gotta go - take care - we love you guys and
miss you. Write soon. Luv, me.

Holy shit dude! I'm not sure what to say, but thank God you didn't take all
those pills! (4TVs would SUCK with out you! ;-) )

That does sound *very* cool. I can't wait! :-)

I'm not sure either, but there are a couple secure vendors on-line who
provide SSL (Secure Socket Layer) credit card transactions for you, like you
sign up with them and then you can have a link on your site which points to
their "Palaur.com Password Whatever" purchase form.

I'm not sure of another online way to do it.. there's a site which allows you
to enter your CC number and then have an online "bank" of sorts where you can
electronically transfer money to and from others, perhaps that would work as
well.

> So now you understnad why it's been 6 WHOLE days since my last entry.
> Y'all thought I was DEAD or something.

Actually, I was wondering when the next newsletter would come out, it's
awfully BORING in Oxford. However, I've managed to get enough of my
fraternity brothers interested in the great ADAM KONTRAS, some of them want
to buy CDs! You have any left? Also, I'm sure we could try and sell them
for you down here!

So your camera outputs a big AVI file or something? Windows 2000 comes with
a video compression program that lets you convert AVIs and such to ASF files
(which are like MP3s for video) which are a heck of a lot smaller (and better
quality) than MPG.

That was pretty neat -- it reminded me of one of the 4TVs sets where the top
of your head (I believe it was a derby hat?) was unattached to your body and
had a tendancy to float around :-).

> Oh, and please write back on your feelings about Palaur.com, I really
> am awaiting your reaction on this one...

I think it'll be VERY cool. What does Palaur mean, BTW? Oh, and that
wasn't Beth in Mansfield, was it?
I do webpages now both personally and as a side-job, so if you need any help
don't hesitate to ask!

hey adam, that sounds very interesting, man as soon as 4tvs hits and you've
got any extra time on your hands you have to write a novel, :) it's definetly
worth paying 4 $ hell thats less then a movie, but your right about the
credit card thing, i can't think of any other way though. by the way i
propossed to erin sunday, she didn't see it coming, she got about 3/4 of the
puzzle put together and realized what it said and started crying, she
finished it and i got on one knee and started my "proposal speech" and before
i got halfway through it she was saying yes yes and hugging me and crying,
she was sooo happy.
talk to ya later
-Aphid

I usually try to keep personal things out of these reactions because they have nothing to do with the letter, but this was really sweet. He made a puzzle for his girlfriend that when you put it together says "Will you marry me?" I thought that was a very creative way to get a shitload of tears. Which of course is the goal when asking someone to marry you...
