6:49 PM, Friday, January 16th, 2026:   Sometimes you vlog just to know you're alive...   Is this real life? The video says it all.     I really want to say "This too shall pass" but I'm struck with the understanding that this country will never be the same in my lifetime. We cannot seem to conquer the "functioning press" problem and as my previous employers (CBS News) get taken over, not even historians will know what's true. Throw-in AI which renders nearly any video suspect? It's already done.   The remainder of my life is finding pockets of peace, attempting to make people feel presence outside their own existence and focusing on love. Where I'll have the freedom to do that however, is certainly in doubt.   For now, I'm thankful I'm in California, anxious about the looming invasions and civil unrest, but hopeful about the art I make, the stories told...   Adam
