- What an absolutely
bizarre piece of art to come out of this entry
from 8 years ago. Believe it or not? This is the result
of being exhausted with Fastest Delorean and our
country's inability to deal with Trump. I just accepted
that the country was done (man I had no idea just how
done it would be - wow) and we're never truly returning
from this becuase we couldn't actually handle impeachable
offenses anymore. Without a functioning press, the entire
democracy withers. And looking ahead of course, we
couldn't even deal with him as a CITIZEN. Like, we're
done. And all of it is because we have no basis of fact
anymore. It's unreal. And somehow, that sentiment? Makes
this song...

- How bizarre right? I
love this song, I love that it exists. It's obviously not
a great song, but it's just a feel and moment that now
gets proper treatment and it's just fun as fuck to get to
play this with that backing. I want to do a show of this
music, so, so, so, badly. I think I want it
more than I've ever wanted something. Like suddenly
remembering "oh yeah, you're a piano player" - and
<gasp> you could get better! And actually work on
technique and really get good... suddenly that's
SO exciting to me. I'm just so happy. It's wild how
much this project has changed me.
