8:35 AM, Sunday, February 16th, 2025:

A little late on this entry (the text and call happened on Thursday), but there's not a whole lot to report yet since it was a phone call to set up a zoom call... all of which makes me a little crazy since talking on the phone about VR180 is as useful as reading about food you've never tasted. That being said...

Hef spoke to the contact at the Dodgers that we met back in June and mentioned I was available to shoot something for Spring training and he texted me Thursday to have a phone call in an hour. Of course that hour was enough time for me to properly do the anxiety shuffle and this time in VR180...

Ahhh the moober is so awesome. Oooh and that cliffhanger! So the call itself was somewhat tempered by Hef's (now legendary) offer for me to do it pro bono just as a proof of concept for the team. (sigh) Laughing, but still (sigh). We laughed on the phone - in fact the Dodger guy laughed one of the genuinely hardest laughs I've heard when I said "Yeah, wasn't that nice of him..." in response to Hef's offer. LMFAO. It's absolutely the right move of course, just like with Carroll on Thursday. Decision makers just react differently to their own stuff and it is the only way I get in the door. It's the World Champion Dodgers, it's Ohtani (and Yamamoto and now Sasaki) and of course I'm doing whatever necessary to prove what we can do. I of course believe seeing the footage of LeBron certainly PROVES THE CONCEPT on how it would look with Ohtani, but as it pertains to getting the meetings with the next level guys? Saying "look what we produced at Spring Training" gets a meeting quicker than "look at this LeBron footage!" when you're a baseball team. I get it.

So next up - a ZOOM CALL with other Dodger peeps! (sigh). I understand the ease of Zoom calls when everyone is in different places but goddamn phone calls about VR180 is like reading about food you've never tasted. It's been literal fucking years of this shit. LMFAO. Like, I'm starting to lose it.

Ahem.

But the meeting tomorrow could cut through a lot of red tape since my one contact at the Dodgers did indeed see it in person and can vouch for the quality. In fact, since he saw the stuff in June - Hef showed him the Lakers stuff flat and he could understand how it translated. Once you've experienced it once, it goes a long way.

Alright man - here goes the biggest week... ever? Dodger Zoom tomorrow, FanDuel Network Zoom Tuesday and of course the face-to-face meeting with Pete Carroll and shoot on Thursday.

Here. We. Go.
