After the Kinecht/Williams trade was rescinded, I knew I had to make this video. Also, I spoke with my contact at Spectrum and he said he didn't mind if I used the footage in a video - the Lakers may have an issue with it (and it'll be taken down if they do) but I have to presume they're not super concerned about footage from Media Day. In fact, that's the entire point of media day: releasing footage to the media. So I grabbed a few shots and talked about the team that was...

So, whew. Incredible how many people come in and out of a team during a season. Was awesome to finally get to showcase some of the other players since the Lakers Presentation was so LeBron centric. And of course - I'm still heartbroken that I can't seem to get anyone other than our first contact at The Lakers to see that footage. The moments that are now being missed with Luka are just devastating to me. It won't make a whole lot of sense to others for another decade, but the fact that The Lakers could've documented this season like this in '24/'25? Massive opportunity lost. Oh well. There's not a whole lot more I can do...

On the other fronts however (that are now unlocked because I've spoken enough with Dave that I'm certain this is happening), the Pete Carroll shoot is booked and officially happening on Thursday, February 20th (weather permitting). I'm working on the reel I'm making specifically for Pete and of course... as I've said in the entries - the sky is the absolute limit for where this could go. Massive opportunity... here's hopin'.

As well, my meeting with the NY contact at FanDuel is rescheduled for next Tuesday the 18th since Microsoft Teams is annoying as fuck and didn't send the invite to my NY dude to anywhere EXCEPT THE TEAMS APP. Ferfuksake. I was able to text him and he was actually apologetic and we rescheduled for a week later. The goal there of course is a trip to NY because a Zoom meeting about this technology is pretty impotent. I get it - it's a vibe check - but the time lost already this year is making me a little stir-crazy. That being said? Things really are going in the right direction.

Quiet faith. Quiet faith.

...except for the Lakers who are going to go insane barring injury. Not sure why people don't understand this - but it's mainly because they're not watching the games. Defensively we are BETTER WITHOUT AD. The energy now that Vando is healthy and we got Finney-Smith? Unreal. LeBron is playing 10 years younger and I'm telling you - the spacing without AD is incredible. Offensively we're just going to blow the hell out of people. Again, barring injury. 40 year old LeBron and Luka's calf? It's concerning. But with JJ at the helm, this team can do it. Gonna be so fun to watch.

Alrigh - not sure what's next. Bit of a down period. Ready for that not to be the case, Murphy.
