10:55 AM, Thursday, July 25th 2024:   Always an adventure...     Much like the last time we went camping - we turned a really rough situation into a cool memory. Last time it was 110 degree heat forcing us to hang out in stores and movie theaters all day until the sun went down. So much fun. Elvis and Top Gun Maverick. What a trip.   This time unfortunately wasn't as cool because, well - it just isn't fun to get rained out. Granted, we set it up in the backyard and Cam and Talya actually made it through the night outside. Vienna wanted to go in so I held court inside... but still - we made it a memory.   AND CAN YOU BELIEVE VIENNA SAID THAT!??!?! Like - you hope your kids are listening and that they really are valuing the right things... but you don't know until you know it. And the kids filming themselves BY themselves and her saying it? Love it. That's exactly what we've tried to get across to them throughout their lives: the moments matter, not just the outcome. I document as much as I can and they become little chapters in your life. Your pre-conceived ideas of what's gonna happen may evaporate... but your attitude is everything and man - they got it!!! So maybe the best camping story yet? But we're not gonna let THAT shit happen again. That sucked. Ha.   Adam
