12:20 PM, Friday, June 14th 2024:   Special moment in our backyard...     It's not often we have parties at GolfKon... I certainly don't advertise it - usually just comes up from someone calling looking for ideas. But something in me clicked with this guy (Aaron) and he was so excited about surprising his girlfriend that I wanted to do my part. So I took the money and just reinvested it in fixing up the backyard. Something I really haven't done since 2019. Basically repaint and restain nearly everything. And just basic clean-up and removal. Took me a whole week and it lead to that cool moment for them...   ...but then? They invited us back into the party and as day turned into night - the whole family remembered: "Oh shit, this backyard is really cool." Guy had gotten this MASSIVE blue-tooth speaker that sounded incredible and just made the space feel special. It's funny, we live here and we don't even think about the layout. Especially in the summer because it's just so hot except for early morning and after sunset... but we all looked at each other and thought: "LET'S HAVE A NIGHT PARTY!". So it looks like we'll be doing that before the summer ends. Just a nice space and once you clean it all up? Quite fun.   So yay. I guess this is a humble-bragging entry? The fuck do I call it? My backyard is awesome? LOL. Nah, I'll focus on Aaron and his friends and call it "Friends Like These". I never really had a group of friends like this because I've always been married or in some sort of long-term relationship and put nearly all my free time and energy on THAT as opposed to other friends. Just my make-up really. But it's pretty cool to see groups of people that hit it off this well. Good times.   Adam
