- So Billy just got
word that everything is a go. So of course my first
instinct is to admit “I was wrong.” And this
is the first song I thought of (from TWO THOUSAND TWO
HUNDRED ENTRIES AGO)…

- Of course the
middle of that song I have an about-face and say I was
right which is even more why I feel it fits. This
doesn’t feel right at all. It was on hold because
they needed to find a way to monetize this and now
they don’t? I mean, ok, but huh?

- The real problem
is all of this info is scattered, often second hand,
and it’s coming from Thor who doesn’t seem
to understand what the format can do. He wants it
focused on the players on the field, yet the camera
can’t zoom. He wants one long 10 minute cut,
which for this is honestly too long and from what
we’ll have access to it should be quick 3 minute
experiences that make people want more, week to week,
etc. The whole “10 minute rule” is for ad
purposes that don’t play here (or do they? No
information on ads).

- And as always,
I’m the only person with any experience in the
format and no one will talk to me, it’s almost
all through Billy unless I email directly. And when I
did, Thor got pissed and called Billy. I mentioned
Billy wanted to invoice separately and that the change
from 10/16 to 10/15 was actually a big hit as far as
access (difference between Cowboys and Cardinals). I
can’t even have a normal conversation or
discussion without him calling Billy to complain? This
is all backwards and seems destined to
fail…

it’s on! Everything is good? Ugh. It doesn’t
feel like it. I honestly won’t believe this is
happening until that weekend. Time will tell, but for
now I continue doing the vendor info, buying the
insurance they require (CBS level specs for an entire
massive crew yet I’m one guy with a gimbal -
wtf). I’m already like $1000 in just for this
shoot (another memory card and insurance) and I
don’t even think it’s happening.
