Ya know, as parents you're good for several moments of "Man, we fucked that up." and there's nothing you can do. Here's a good one with Cam...

So Cam has basically been in a bad mood about school for a good 2 months. Just complaining about his class, complaining about the work, complaining he doesn't have enough time to finish stuff and Talya tries to be understanding, while I take the drill sargeant "SUCK IT THE FUCK UP" attitude most of the time. A bit of an exagerration, but those are certainly our foundations when it comes to dealing with the kids. We're a good team.

Ends up, Cam was damn near blind and didn't understand shit wasn't supposed to be blurry. He gets glasses and suddenly the attitude is gone and things are great.

Fuck. Me.

And they had mentioned this a couple years ago apparently but said him missing some letters on the eye chart was "no big deal" at his age. The fuck it wasn't. He puts on these glasses and is like "Dude, everything is so much SMALLER and SHARP!"

THE WORLD WAS BIG AND BLURRY TO THIS FUCKER HIS WHOLE GODDAMN LIFE.

HAHAHAHA.

I mean, not really hahahaha - but kinda hahahaha. Crying hahahaha. Holy fuck hahahahaha. I feel sooooooooo bad, hahaha.

So yeah... the video:

He also loves wearing them because his friends have them and he feels cool now so that's awesome. The whole thing is really wonderful and his teacher (who mentioned he was squinting) said not to feel too bad because 3rd grade really is the year a lot of kids figure out they need glasses. So, thanks for that ma'am...

...but we're still gonna feel like assholes for a little bit.
