- Yesterday feels
like a dream. A party and gig in one day and so many
emotions with all of it... so we start with
Vienna's... no other way to put it: big-kid
party...

- So, many,
emotions...

- After 2 years of
COVID bullshit, Vienna got a real party... but
it's more than that: we've always had home parties.
I actually really love home parties and I know
how special it feels to have your school friends in
YOUR HOUSE. Ya know? It's kinda magic. And of
course we have the huge backyard and it's unique and
fun...

- ...but damnit,
this kid deserved somethin big after the past 2 years
and she picked Roller Skating which - uhm, hell yes.
How 80s is that!?!? And I
LOVED ROLLER SKATING as a kid. United Skates
of America BITCHES! So fun.

- Of course while in
the midst of it what occurs to you as parents? 10
ain't 5. She wanted to hang with her friends, she was
having the time of her life and October 1st was the
transition moment in my brain. I mean there's
been a bunch of them, but I know I'll look back
on this video in the years to come and feel a tiny pit
in my stomach. I believe more than ever we will
be great friends through her teen years and I love her
to death... but she is her own person and will go on
her own adventures and the distance will be so
bittersweet.

- When you love your
kids as much as Talya and I do... you're always
preparing to let them go. That's really your job...
but it's particularly difficult when you enjoy
spending time with them as much as we do. And maybe
that's why the teen years ARE so hard. Helps kick
those fuckers out of the nest. LOL.

- But I just know my
little girl, isn't so little. And as much as
I still want to hold her hand (and god I caught
this in the video), you realize she needs to be with
her friends... and you're lucky enough to hold onto
your wife's hand. A woman who understands exactly what
you're feeling and goddamnit how thankful are you that
you have a partner through this. Oh so many never had
that.
