- I'm sitting on my
phone as the kids are watchng TV in the hotel room and
realizing that this really is the end of the COVID
birthdays. The video won't be done until later in the
week but I'll put a place holder here, as I felt the
need to write:

- I don't exactly
know how we'll look back on this period. I have to
think it will be with some dread. Even though we made
the most of every possible predicament, it still
sucked. Of course Vienna will love this 9th birthday
weekend... but it was the same weekend from Memorial
Day when we thought THAT was the end of everything and
they'd be going back to school the next month. So
although I think they'll appreciate these birthdays
even more? It's hard to tell as it dragged through TWO
years. Had it just been 2020? Sure. Now? Whew. We're
getting tired of this shit. We're gonna let the kids
go back to school a week after their first shot
so that could possibly be November 8th or November
15th. We're RIGHT there.... but this recent bout of
homeschooling has suuuuuuuuuucked. So although this
weekend has been a blast and Vienna and Cam seem like
the happiest kids ever? You'll have to ask them in a
few years what they think.. 'cause mama and dada are
tired.
