- Wow, this is
actually emotional to me.
-
- It's been a long
time since Journey related things have resonated but
after dealing with all the assholes trying to take my
channel down and edit the wikipedia entry - this, is,
in, print. Again, it's not like they were gonna edit
me out of the Guinness Book of World Records page, but
for whatever reason (I guess being a child of the 20th
century) print matters more. And? I'm super lucky it
EVER got to print. There's apparently 15,000 records
on Guinness and only 3-4000 ever get printed.
Thankfully there was indeed a vlogger section and they
included me. Holy balls...
-
- ...but can I also
say: clearly no one reads these books anymore?? Or
maybe it's just kids in school like me when I was 9?
How had this been in print for 5 years and I was never
contacted? I mentioned this just on the website
verification... but I can understand that people did
find that right away -
I DIDN'T EVEN FIND IT for 5
years... but a book? I still cannot believe I wasn't
contacted by not only Guinness but anyone who even
READ it! Just... an absolute sign of the times
I guess.
-
-
- It's something
that would've meant so much to me back in 2016/2017 -
especially during the pitches in spring and summer
2016 for GolfKon related stuff... but the good news is
it will play into the marketing for the Journey movies
and for the 1000th time: they can't take it away from
me. I know the history of this all too well from all
the fighting that happened in 2008 with wikipedia, no
one has a claim to this. Only people erroneously
posting footage from the 1980s and calling it a vlog
even seemingly have a leg to stand on and it doesn't
take too long to explain that vlog = video web log,
and simply posting old footage after the fact doesn't
make it first. Hell, posting footage from the 1800s
would top everyone... that's smply not what a vlog is.
And clearly, Guinness understands this.
-
- So I've ordered my
copies of the book and can't wait for them to get
here. I'm gonna cut a copy up and mix it with my
Guinness certificate whenever that comes and legit
make a plaque. I'm actually proud of this one. This is
an "after I'm dead" moment for me. You hope
something gets remembered from your life and,
well, this is it. Not saying there won't be more
things, but I'm glad this is set in stone. Or, well,
in print. Amazing.
