3:30 PM, Friday, March 23rd, 2021:   Man, mass-marketing and spam has gotten GOOOOOD. I mean, so good, I had no choice but to follow the bread crumbs to see where they lead.   So I get a form letter that says this dude wants to interview me, but clearly he knows fuck all about who I am. So I fill out this thing (that then informs him) and I hit a button on a calendar and voila - 10 minute video interview scheduled with MARK IMPERIAL!   Of course I don't know who he is as much as he doesn't know who I am, but I'm so intrigued by this I have to keep going down the rabbit hole. I get texts to be ready on Zoom at a certain time and voila, here is the result:     I still think I'm gonna be sold SOMETHING at SOME point, but as you could see after the end of the interview I was just drilling him about what the fuck the whole thing was. And honestly, as showbiz-type shit goes? This is the perfect type of usuary and I mean it in the most positive possible way. He's giving a service to people who aren't normally interviewed. This stuff is very valuable for the artist when trying to package their story. And hell, it's another interesting video blog for me that I don't have to create from scratch. I love posting long-form, unedited interviews because it really cuts through the "control" of writing or even producing videos. When I'm 80? This is spending 15 minutes with me at 45. I just feel like that will be a better representation of who I am than any of the more professional videos I post. I still love those, but this is the balance needed for documentation. Same reason I keep up embarassing entries where I look like an idiot. That's reality.   And the "Go Vlog Yourself" book idea isn't bullshit, in 2012 I was totally doing that... but, well, GolfKon, Vienna... I went a different way. There is still clearly a book in me but I really enjoy documentaries better. Five Volumes of The Official Journey will define me better than a novel. But it still lingers that there's an avenue there...   Adam
