- Well, little by
little I've acquired what's necessary to stream. Top
of the line capture card and camlink leaving only
audio to make this possible (and a ton of research and
production). I'm still reticent, and it will also
require interaction and so on, but that can be done
years from now. You need to be 13 to stream by
yourself, this will just be me and him playing for a
bit, but I really want to start a PASSIVE
channel without any editing or really much of anything
on his part except documenting his skills. If it
evolves out of that, then yay. If not? Nothing lost.
So I set-up a test this morning of what was gonna be
every mario kart track, but turned into 16 races and a
few Smash Bros. fights. He does end up beating me in
race 3...

- A pretty enjoyable
hour actually. Just hanging with my kids and talking
about wiping butts, etc. Again once this is a real
channel the audio will be, well, there. This is just
the raw feed from the camera. I'll also have my ipad
setup so I can see comments and respond to them
in real time. The reason all of this is so difficult
is because I'm trying to do it without Cameron even
realizing it. It's just us in front of our big TV on
the couch. It's a wiring nightmare. Most people play
at their ocmputer desks but I don't want him to feel
like he's on-stage.
I DON'T WANT THAT ASSHOLE INTERNET KID.
lol I may be out of my mind here trying to do
this without really DOING this, but I can't
explain it: I'm just not sold this is a good idea, but
my body keeps moving towards it. I'm really conflicted
here but I'll just keep everything low-key for a bit
and see if it just works.
-
- Now, from the
video, even though he wasn't really playing well - you
can see he's got the skills if he's concentrating. The
problem with 4 and 5 year olds, if they're not in
perfect working order (LOL) they're in trouble. They
can't be hungry, they can't be tired, they can't be
anything but PERFECT or they just can't overcome it.
Normal kid shit. Again why I don't like the idea of
critiquing the poor bastard for his fucking
VIDEOGAME SKILLS...
-
- ...but when you're
THIS good at something THIS early? It's worth trying
to produce a landscape where he can
flourish.

- Time will
tell...
