- "Houston, we have
a problem" is soooooooooooooooo hackey... but
sometimes: jesus it fits. But I just couldn't
stand to actually write that on the Entry Bar.
-
- So where do
I begin? I begin with the video...
-
-
- ...which is now
all sorts of confusing to you. I not only don't know
where to start, I don't know where to end... and
there's simply too much content right now and I
haven't the slightest idea what to do with it. As of
me writing this? I could make an INTENSE episode
of reality TVabout what happened in just a few days in
Houston. Not contrived, not produced - just real, real
shit. That's just with my dumbass holding a camera.
With help? Whew.
-
- So my head tells
that there never will be a reality show and this will
be part of a documentary sequel because I can
actually control THAT. If that's the case, I'm still
missing the actual PULL of the doc. Docs don't
work (for me anyway) if you simply lump together all
the pieces from the time you were documenting, there
has to be a pull throughout. Fastest Delorean was just
that: the journey to get the record. Everything in it
came back to that specific goal. That's why it moved
the way it did. That's why it had the nice slow build
and why the Kenny texts felt like a 2x4 to the head.
With the sequel however, once we show what happens
with the fire - it's all this chaotic aftermath that
has no direction. Each part is great... the Houston
shit is riveting, but without a pull (which insiders
like to call the MacGuffin - google it), the movie
fails. Still searching for it...
-
- And yes that means
I can't explain anything and this is just an
annoying entry. Sorry. There's gonna be a lot of
these.
