Steven Spielberg just secured my kid's college
tuitions. If this movie is as epic as it looks? He
just pushed the Delorean Time Machine into the 21st
Century Pop Culture for an entirely new
generation.
Ready Player One is a book about a kid from Columbus,
Ohio (I know, right?) in 2045 that plays VR games and
has his own world within them. He has a Delorean Time
Machine (yes, not just the Delorean, a fully outfitted
Back to the Future car) and apparently in the movie
adaptation it plays a far bigger role. Just
SEEING IT is going to help my rentals. If it
really does have a good amount of screen time? WOW. It
keeps not only Back to the Future in the zeitgeist
it's THE CAR. It's GRITTY and AWESOME. I edited
just the two shots with the Delorean in it from the
trailer:
