We may be to the point of going to a new place for Xmas Trees. The kids are now old enough to be annoyed at the ease of it all. There's no slide or santa or some shit to do. We walk in, I choose the only one that will really fit and they put it on our car. I mean, that shit will always happen every year - but we're gonna need to wrap it in a bit more pizazz and I now see the attraction of those other lots that have extra shit. You drink some cocoa, you see some lights...

SPEAKING OF COCOA THE GODDAMN BUCKEYES. OK, I was gonna try and focus on the tree stuff and save the Buckeye stuff for the next entry but that clearly ain't happning. DOUBLE FUCKING OVERTIME WIN OVER XICHIGAN? OMG. Could there be anything better? No. No there couldn't. Well shit, now what the hell is the video?!?! I guess I'll just throw it all together. It is simply Friday and Saturday back to back. Hell it's all within 24 hours. Let's do that now...

Seriously. The absolute best part about this is that Talya finally got to watch an entire game. The kids spent the night at Oma's and Jimmy & Kaylyn were up for the tree stuff and the four of us got to watch every play. Talya is usually relegated to kid wrangling and even though they kind of watch it's a 4 hour chunk of time that is never without incident. So the fact that she got to watch THE BEST Xichigan game of all goddamn time without interference. So fortunate. She FINALLY got the drama of it all. It's so hard walking in and out of something to explain how intense games can be, but there's no explaining the anxiety of a double-overtime game. That was excruciating. I mean, ever minute past regulation that that game went... the more it meant to win it. That's what was killing me the most. I mean, sweet jesus our # is up with THE GAME at some point. I lived through the Cooper years. The pendulum will swing. Harbaugh has brought the team BACK... but the second it went into overtime (something that has never happened in our 100+ year history) it became the ONE FUCKING GAME you could never lose. By double-overtime it was absolutely excruciating. Watching Talya jump at the end of that is so heartwarming because she FINALLLLLLLLLY felt the power of sports. She never grew up with it, she has been able to get into some basketball games... but football is such a different energy and if you don't watch the whole game, the moments don't feel different. With basketball you really can watch the last quarter sometimes and it works. Football is like baseball in a sense... you have to ride that experience the entire way. So my biggest takeaway is that she felt it...

...I am however just beside myself tired. That killed me. This has already been an extremely stressful week with the Delorean bullshit. The last entry helped (still laughing), but the problem isn't going away (Jimmy had to PUSH me out of the driveway, but I was able to get that guy to Marty McFly's house) and I can only go so long without reverse.

But who fucking cares. We beat Xichigan. In the greatest game of all-time. #2 has to be the 2-point conversion game from 2013. What a time to be a fan!!! REMEMBER THESE YEARS BUCKEYES. This will shift at some point. But goddamnit it's awesome now.

Oh, yeah - and we got a Christmas tree. So really, this was an entry about the Buckeyes with the tree as a sidebar. I'm ok with that.
