What a day...

The anniversary of us meeting randomly at Starbucks will happen every year... but George Wendt won't be at The GolfKon Bar nor will the final debate be the same day. Doesn't get more memorable than that.

So we barely made it to Starbucks this time. We had to go early in the morning during rush hour before dropping Vienna off at school. Something that already requires quite a bit of work to pull off on time... but it was the only time all 4 of us could be there. That's when it occurred to me that time is indeed slipping away: fairly soon, this will just be the two of us. Granted, soon is over a decade, but I remember a decade ago, and it doesn't feel like that long. It's not like the kid's schedules will suddenly LIGHTEN. We're entering the crazy stage of scheduling that will continue to make moments like this difficult - but for the 7th straight time, Talya and I were at this Starbucks... the last 3 with our entire family.

It's funny, the moment means so much more to us in retrospect. It was nuts trying to pull this off - the kids were crazy as usual and were suddenly picky about breakfast food? WHAT? So they ate cookies for breakfasy. (sigh) But we did it. Whew...

Of course after school was George taping his bit for GolfKon and I'm just now loading all of that footage. I mean... I can't even process that all happened today. Hillary really and truly knocked it out of the park tonight - finally hitting Trump back with a surprisingly offensive performance. I figured defense was enough and she really stepped up. I still expect things to be closer to Obama's 2012 win than his 2008 win, but at this point I no longer care if it's close, I just want it to be over and for Trump to be a footnote. His supporters however, are here to stay... I really do think it's gonna come down to a civil war. So be it. There are so clearly two different Americas. I think we'd all rather draw a line and raise our families how we see fit. <shrugs>

Happy Anniversary babe...
