HAAAAAAAA. That title has to make anyone who follows the NFL laugh. A ONE-GAME WINNING STREAK... from a team who has yet to even score a TOUCHDOWN all year. Truth be told, the title has to do with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers playing before the game... but we also won! Check out this BADASS video:

Truthfully, we wanted to sell these tickets... but that 28-0 loss to the niners last week kind of killed the resale value. Our only chance to make some good money on our seats is when Cam Newton and the Panthers come to town in November...

...but honestly? Yesterday was so much fun, I don't even mind the expense right now. I even ordered a jersey...

THE GOLFKON 9 BITCHES!!! How did I never think of this before?!?!?! Very, very, very happy about my purchase. Certainly better than picking some player that will let you down. It's certainly a conversation starter and, well... GolfKon is clearly a massive part of my life.

Now, as a die-hard Bears fan, this kinda kills me. I have lived and died (mostly died) with the Bears for over 30 years. But when I was a kid, stuck in a town that had ZERO professional sports, I decided that wherever I moved? That I would support their professional teams. I'd try and get season tickets to the Kansas City Chiefs if need be. I've lived here for 17 years and, well, it's time. We have an NFL team, I'm going to support it.

There's another issue of course, the colors. They've been wearing their throwback colors which are very, very close to Xichigan colors and I just can't do it. I cannot bring myself to wear those colors. I'm kind of afraid they're going to go BACK to those colors (since they were the original LA colors) and leave the above color scheme in St. Louis once the new stadium opens in 2019. Oh well. I'll deal with that atrocity when it happens.

But yes, the game was very, very fun. Here's what I never thought of: HALF THE PLAYERS are gone from the preseason. So what seemed like kind of a blocked view during the Dallas game? Is awesome now. There's still players there, but it feels like you're actually on the sideline with 'em because there's plenty of holes to see through. It was just really really fun. As fun as a TOUCHDOWN-LESS game could be. But we were all so excited to even be in the game... and then to win?!?!! Wow.

Also... the Chilli Peppers? Two songs. That's it. HUH? Kind of bummed about that.

Anyway - good stuff. What a crazy weekend! Also, got the announcing part finished for the Labor Day Tournament last night so I can finally finish that up!

Giddy-up.
