9:07 AM, Saturday, November 23rd, 2013:   Every now and then you snap a pic that is just an organic alligning of the stars...   Ground Control to Major Tom   :-)   In fact, it inspired a video of "mealtime" that is becoming quite the tradition... her sneaking food to the dog when I'm not looking...     Ha. Oh and a quick aside about the "more" sign. This blows my freaking mind...   We had been teaching Vienna the sign "more" as:     She however, kept doing the finger to her palm as you see in the video...     It was close enough, she did it when she wanted "more", and we were happy she was doing anything to communicate. So her sign became the new "more"...   ...remember in the last entry when I mentioned that Vienna will often sit for over an HOUR in front of a stack of books? Studying every page? You ready for this?     Oh for fuck's sake. Are you kidding me? One of her books shows THIS as the sign? The kid is 13 months old. How is this possible. How did she freaking ignore the what we had taught her in another book and in videos... and then study on her own, study her books and THIS picture and put it together?   COME ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNN already. I don't want to be that dad. LOL. You can't imagine how much I don't want to be the "oh, my kid is smarter than the average kid" because ALL first-time parents think that...   ...but COME ONNNNNNNNN. 13 months? She did her OWN research and used it on US? I'm about to put calculus books in her stack. This is kind of unsettling. I mean, in a good way - but I think I've mentioned it before, I don't hope for my children to be exceptional in areas to the point of freak. In the end we all want to be happy, and prodigies are not. Ever. I want her to be exceptional and hard-working and have talents that help her kick-ass, but please don't be the 12 year old graduating high school. Please.   That being said, we aren't there yet - but this kinda freaked me out. I mean, I had shown her this book before, but both Talya and I specifically showed her the sign as:     ...because it's the actual, fucking, sign. I mean, can we all agree on some shit already?  FACK.   Anyway, my kid is cute and smart and I went damn near a month and 7 entries without spotlighting her so THERE! ;-)   Good times though.
