I always feel the need to put the disclaimer on this and future Disney entries that if not for being 100% free thanks to Jimmy, we would never take a baby this young to Disneyland. Maybe it's my modest upbringing but a trip to Disney was literally a once-in-a-childhood thing. And you didn't spend that unless every kid was old enough to not only remember it, but to APPRECIATE IT and at the very least be able to ride the rides. So there's honestly a teeny bit of "sting" to the fact that we're able to go on a whim like most people go to a movie. All that being said? Disneyland is an awfully interesting place to a 12 month old. And it's an awesome excuse to tell stories...

Ha. The balloon shot always makes Talya cry. :-) Oh and if you didn't see the last Disney video, it's kind of a continuation...

Incredible considering we didn't know we were having a boy when we shot that. :-)

Alright - so for those that want to skim an entry rather than watch a video... here's a few pics and anecdotes:

I know it's the land of make-believe, but boy did they pull a number on Vienna and her favorite food: grapes. This poor kid sat there forever trying to figure this shit out. LEFT... came BACK to it:

Kinda cool she just accepted they weren't comin' off and didn't go ape-shit. I think that's what the terrible-twos are for. :-)

Goofy was kinda freaky the first time...

...and not a lot changed:

The issue is she needs eye-contact and it freaks her out when he moves towards her... but those stomach muscles are impressive. She loved watching him from afar though and smiled and yelled as you saw in the video...

Adore that pic. It's the eyes... it's always been the eyes:

Somehow Vienna pulled off the entire day without her afternoon nap. She was up for 10 straight hours which I believe is a new personal record. We were certainly proud of her. No crying! There's just so much new stuff for her to see, I'm not even sure when she would? Again, when she's older? There will be minor meltdowns, no doubt. But it sure is fun when she's in awe of everything...

...which included Minnie. Certainly her favorite character of the day.

Whew. Good stuff. Happy, exhausted family. And tomorrow? Marks 3 years since Talya and I met. Incredible.
